Alta Verde features assenzio (a special variety of wormwood) complemented by alpine herbs, citrus, and spices, producing the classic hallmark bitter flavor once common along the Adriatic coast but now rare.Wormwood-driven amari sit at the more assertively bitter end of the Italian liqueur tradition — closer in character to absinthe-adjacent botanicals than to the softer dried-citrus and herb amari from southern Italy.
